Mudassa Howe to play professionally in T&T.
(Source: Sknvibes.com) BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – ONE of the Federation’s top footballers, Mudassa Howe has been contracted to play football by the TT Pro League side San Juan Jabloteh FC out of Trinidad and Tobago.
The tall, lanky central defender is one of the better players in that position in St. Kitts and Nevis and was a staple in the Island Auto Kactus Conaree FC Championship run in 2013. In an interview with SKNVibes, Head Coach of the Conaree team Lester Morris confirmed that Howe had indeed joined the Trinidad and Tobago outfit and stated that the offer was made since last year.
“It has been quite a while now but he only joined them recently. As far as I know, he had his first training session Thursday. He had told me of the offer since last year around September.” Morris was also asked whether or not Conaree FC was compensated following the transfer. “I don’t know much details about the particulars and I really can’t speak to that at this moment.” He also explained how Mudassa would be missed by his team.“Mudaasa has been a tower of strength and a pillar in Conaree FC’s defence in terms of defensive skills, in terms of his height and in terms of his leadership qualities. “He definitely would leave a large hole that would need to be filled, and it is up to another player to step up and earn that spot.”
Morris was however confident that Conaree FC could repeat the feats of 2013 despite losing Howe. “It has left a void for us to fill and I believe that we have the players with the calibre. We have players who have been relishing that moment because it means other players would have to step up. “As far as I know, we have gotten back one player we had lost a year ago. Now that he is back we are expecting him to fill some of that void that Mudassa would have left.”
He also praised Mudassa’s service to Conaree. “To be honest, Mudassa has given great service to Conaree FC and I want to wish him all the best in his future endeavours, and hopefully he can use this opportunity to push on to greater success.”
