Cayon Rockets Back To Winning Ways

Flow 4G Cayon Rockets are back to winning ways on their home turf after they blanked Hobson Enterprises Garden Hotspurs 2-1 on Saturday night in the SKNFA National Bank Premier League. Playing in front their home crowd at St. Mary’s Park, Cayon finally picked up a win since the league resumed earlier this month, having suffered back to back losses at home.

Assistant Coach Jazz Buchanan was pleased that the team finally got a win. “I am feeling kind of good because as we said last week when we lost against Mantab, we started having some senior players starting to do more training (from injury)…we are pleased some of them are coming back,” Buchanan said. “I want to say thanks to the (young players). A lot of them who played most of the games, they couldn’t be here tonight because it’s now (exams) for these guys in school. We have a lot of seventeen year olds and these guys have classes…we can’t push them. We can only ask that from them but they have been doing a good job for Cayon,” he said.

On the other hand Spurs have suffered three back to back losses with Saturday night’s result included and for Coach Austin ‘Dico’ Huggins, the solution is simple—his players need to score more goals. This week we are going to work on our finishing. We also have to get the players more motivated,” he said.

Meanwhile, in the night’s other match:

MANTAB FC 1 – 1 S. L.  HORSFORDS ST. PAUL’S UTD.
