Cayon F.C Wins Junior League
Basseterre, St. Kitts- In one of the most thrilling games of the season the Cayon FC Juniors defeated St. Peters Juniors in the final match to claim the championship. After two games in the best of three final, Cayon had won one game while St. Peters had won the other. The final game would be the deciding factor in naming a new champion.
Within seventeen minutes of play Cayon FC managed to slot one past Kevis Hanley. Eleven minutes after this Cayon scored their second goal to put a damper on St. Peters hopes of winning the match. One minute later, St. Peters managed to pull one out of the bag bringing hope back to their team.
At the start of the second half Cayon again managed to beat St. Peter’s defense and goalkeeper to take the score to 3-1. St. Peters however did not take this beating lying down and convincingly portrayed a winner’s mentality which resulted in the score being 3-2.
Cayon came back strong against St. Peters dribbling through the defense and ultimately got one more ball in St. Peters’ net. St. Peters tried a late comeback when Zajah Isaac scored in the 90th minute but it was too little too late. The final score was Cayon 4-3 St. Peters.
Congratulations are extended to Cayon FC on their domination of the Junior League.
