J-League Final Four results indicate a level playing field.

Basseterre, St. Kitts- Four teams, two games, one point each, zero losses, zero wins. This just about sums up the first two encounters of the SKNFA’s Junior League Final Four Competition thus far.

In the first match St. Peters came up against Delphic Newtown United. Anjunel Esdaile stepped up to the plate to score the first goal for Delphic Newtown United in the 25th minute. Delphic Newtown United had multiple chances in the second half of the match but were unable to convert any. As the game wound down Delphic would have to hold on to their lead in order to grab the first three points of the tournament.

Kyrhon Phillip was the rebellious St. Peters player to snatch two points away from Newtown in the closing minutes of the game. The sound of the final whistle signalled that both teams would have to share the points. Ahmad Mills (Newtown), Keon Battice (Newtown) and Kyron Phillip (St. Peters) received yellow cards in the said game.

In the second game of the night Hobson Enterprises Garden Hotspurs and Rams Village superstars faced off in a duel.
Carlos Bertie attacked a beautiful delivery off the boot of Sylvester Caines “head on”. A beautiful cross and a beautiful finish it was. Only seven minutes in and H.E Garden Hotspurs were one goal up.

Ten minutes later, Kimaree Rogers was the Villager to respond to Spurs. The remainder of the game went scoreless which means that both teams would take one point away. Yellow Cards issued in the game were Rasheed Harris (Village), Cavid Thompson (Spurs) and Raheem Lawrence (Spurs). One Red Card was also issued to Rasheed Harris (Village).

The next Junior League matches are scheduled for Verchilds Playing Field and are as follows:

5:30pm – St. Peters Jrs vs. H.E Garden Hotspurs Jrs

7:30pm – Rams Village Superstars Jrs vs. Delphic Newtown United Jrs
