MFCR OLD ROAD LADY JETS WIN 2026 WOMEN’S PRESIDENT’S CUP

The MFCR Old Road United Lady Jets opened their 2026 women’s football campaign on a winning note, successfully defending the SKNFA Women’s President’s Cup with a 1-0 victory over Mapau Cayon Rockettes on Sunday, June 14, at the National Bank Group Technical Centre.

Following the victory, assistant coach Roger Hendricks said the win represents the first step in the Lady Jets’ mission to reclaim the Elvis Star Browne Women’s League title. “We are going back for the (title) that we had. So, whoever has it, we are coming back for it,” Hendricks said.

When asked how ready his players are, Hendricks replied, “We ready. Fit and ready to go for the title…we take it one step at a time.”

Hendricks also highlighted the addition of several new players to the squad, noting that they are blending well with the team’s more experienced members and have settled into the group quickly.

The Lady Jets will now turn their attention to the 2026 Elvis Star Browne Women’s League as they look to build on their successful start to the season and mount a challenge for the league championship.
