MFCR Old Road United Jets Win 2026 SKNFA FA Cup Champions After Dramatic Final

Basseterre, St. Kitts – April 22, 2026 — MFCR Old Road United Jets are the 2026 SKNFA FA Cup Champions following a thrilling penalty shootout victory over SOL IAS Conaree in an action-packed final on Wednesday night at the National Bank Group Technical Center.

Old Road United Jets made an explosive start to the contest, surging to a 2-0 lead in the first half with early goals from Tiquanny Williams in the 10th minute and Adondre Eddy in the 14th minute. However, SOL IAS Conaree mounted a determined comeback in the second half, with Errol O’Loughlin finding the net in the 55th minute and Tijanie Fahie equalizing in the 67th minute to level the score at 2-2.

The intensity of the match escalated as both teams were reduced to ten men during regulation. Despite the challenging conditions and a rain-soaked extra time period, neither side could find the decisive goal, forcing the match into a penalty shootout.

Old Road United Jets held their composure from the spot, converting all five of their penalties through Tiquanny Williams, Nejohn Browne, Anwa Springer, Shevene Boston, and Omarion Liburd. Conaree responded with four successful conversions from Errol O’Loughlin, Keondre Maynard, Jayan Duncan, and Tijanie Fahie, but ultimately fell short, handing Old Road a 5-4 victory in the shootout.

Following the match, Head Coach Alexis Morris praised both teams for their performance.

“Congratulations to the IAS Island Auto Supply Conaree FC. They really gave us a good fight tonight and that is a good test for us as we prepare both deeper into the season,” he said. “But tonight, at the end of it, like I (predicted) the last time in my interview, that the Montarville Farm/Cleanrite Old Road United Jets will be the FA Cup champion. And at the end of the game… we are champions. Congratulations to my team.”

With this victory, MFCR Old Road United Jets secure their first piece of silverware for the season and now shift focus the Final Four Playoffs.
