NATIONAL BANK GROUP/SKNFA PREMIER LEAGUE SET TO KICK OFF NEW SEASON ON NOVEMBER 22

Basseterre, St. Kitts & Nevis — The highly anticipated 2025/2026 National Bank Group/SKNFA Premier League season will officially kick off on Saturday, November 22, 2025, with an actionpacked triple-header at the National Bank Group Technical Center. According to SKNFA Deputy General Secretary Jamir Claxton, all preparations have been finalised, setting the stage for what is expected to be an even more successful campaign than last season.

“The preparations for the new season have been going well. We had a workshop with the team managers and coaches for the various clubs in the Premier League. The idea was to go over some of the stuff that they would have brought to the table last year and some of the things that we needed to emphasize on to help with smooth operations this year,” Claxton said.

All matches are currently scheduled to take place at the Technical Center—a decision aimed at ensuring efficient administration and seamless operations throughout the season. Claxton noted that while the venue is planned for now, adjustments remain possible.

“As you’re aware, the SKNFA has the right to change the venues of games when we see fit based on situations and so forth. So as of now, the games are scheduled at the Technical Centre but we are still looking at having games at other venues and when those decisions are made, we’ll make the changes accordingly,” he explained.

Claxton also confirmed that the SKNFA will maintain the European-style scheduling format going forward, aligning domestic football with the global calendar. “It’s the most universal schedule so we’re happy to be back on that schedule because it helps a lot in terms of when it comes to the international windows and so forth. So we’ll be happy to be back on that schedule,” he said.
