NEWTON GROUND EARNS A POINT, MANTAB KEEPS PACE IN DIVISION 1

Newton Ground Ballers FC are improving their fortunes in Division 1 football with baby steps after coming from behind to draw 3-3 with Rivers of Living Water on Thursday at the Verchilds Playing field. After a creditable performance in a loss to Dieppe Bay, Newton Ground earned a point from a losing position.

With these results, we see TGE Dieppe Bay Eagles still at the top of the table with six points and a +21-goal difference, courtesy of their 17-0 trouncing of Molineux FC earlier this week. Mantab is in second place after earning their second win of the season, Conaree Fireball, which will play their third match on Saturday in St. Peters is in 3rd place owing to their big 6-0 win over Molineux in their opening match; Trafalgar Southstars, 607 Lodge Patriots, and KFC Trinity/Challengers United FC each have three points in 4th, 5th and 6th respectively, Newton Ground Ballers and Rivers of Living Water FC with a point each in 7th and 8th respectively and at the bottom of the table, it’s Hardtimes United and Molineux yet to register a point.
