SIX TEAMS CLAIM VICTORY IN SKNFA U13 BOYS LEAGUE
Action in the SKNFA U13 Boys League continued on Saturday, November 15, with dominant victories recorded by Dreamchasers Saddlers, St. Peters FC, Security Forces FC, Bath United, St. Paul’s United and Dieppe Bay. The day featured strong attacking play and determined performances from teams across the league.
At the Boyd’s Playing Field, Dieppe Bay delivered the largest win of the weekend, overwhelming Trinity Challengers 13-0. After the match, Dieppe Bay’s Kevoun Boddie expressed pride in his team’s performance. “I feel very good and very positive about the game. The defence played good, not selfish, and yeah, I love that,” he said. “If we lose the ball, work back for it. Never give up.”
Trinity Challengers player Manuel Hodge-Daley acknowledged that defensive shortcomings contributed heavily to the defeat. “We could have defended better and kept the defence good, but everybody just want to go up, so we want to try, work on the next game,” he said.
Meanwhile, St. Peters FC secured a 4-2 win over Conaree Fireball International at the Patsy Allers Playing Field. Describing his team’s performance, St. Peters player Azaan Liburd said: “The defense really had some struggles, very bad struggles in the second half, but we proved that we can play in the second half and not just the first half.” Conaree Fireball’s Xavier Agard noted that missed opportunities were costly. “I think we played well, but we just needed to finish more chances and too many times we let them just go to the midfield and yeah, that’s where we lost.”
