SKNFA Clubs prepare for New League

The 2011 -2012 League is fast approaching and several clubs are already in preparation for the upcoming league.

These clubs have been using the community based leagues to ensure that their players stay match fit and to unearth new talent. In East Basseterre the Nagico Sponsored league is in it final stages with Fluffy and South Side as finalist.

Over in Tabernacle, Mantab got a good view of youth and experience when their veteran team came up against the young Rookies in the final a game which Rookies won. (Incidentally the national female team was a pat of this league.

Cayon FC the Division 1 champs and newest member of the Premier League is managing the Green Valley. Here, O’louglin Constructions www.strictlysportsinc.com and Green Valley Pub are the main contributors. The eight- team League is at the stage where everyone is now jostling for final four positions.

Champs RAMS Village Superstars has just started a nine team league but they are hard pressed to complete this league before the start of the National League and as a result there are double headers on every match day.

Other clubs have started doing some physical and technical work.

The long time advertised date was one week after independence ie September 25th and it is felt that this date will be kept in the light of the hectic national season, Olympic qualifying action female inaugural league and the reemergence of a youth competition
