SKNFA Explains Premature End and Outcome of President’s Cup Match
The St. Kitts and Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) confirms that the President’s Cup fixture between Rams Village Superstars and S.L. Horsford St. Paul’s United Football Club was brought to a premature conclusion after S.L. Horsford St. Paul’s United was unable to field the minimum number of players required to continue play.
During the course of the match, several Rams Village Superstars FC and S.L. Horsford St. Paul’s United FC players received red cards. This reduced the teams’ on-field players, and in the case of SL Horsfords St.Pauls United FC, it fell below the minimum threshold stipulated by SKNFA 2025-26 Senior Men’s Competitions Rules & Regulations.
In accordance with Rule 12, Paragraph 3 of the SKNFA Rules and Regulations, which states: “Any team which fails to have the requisite number (seven (7) players) required to play a match will lose the said match by default,” thus the match referee was compelled to bring the game to an end. The result of the match was determined in accordance with SKNFA 2025-26 Senior Men’s Competition Rules and Regulations.
