SKNFA Host Breakfast Meeting For Sponsors

Basseterre, St. Kitts, 18th August 2016 (MyVueNews.com) – One of the most significant events on the calendar of football, the St. Kitts-Nevis Football Association Sponsorship Breakfast, will take place on Friday, 19th August, at the Ocean Terrace Inn.

According to Dr. Christine Walwyn, Marketing Consultant to the SKNFA, the breakfast presentation is a means for the SKNFA to express its thanks and appreciation for the support sponsors have provided along the way to the Association.

Generally, the SKNFA Executive will use the event to encourage existing and new sponsors to become partners for the upcoming football season.

It will be a way for the SKNFA to showcase what has happened over the past year in the development of football in St. Kitts and Nevis. Walwyn stated, “We want to tell the story of football in the federation from all different levels – from Grassroots to Female Football, Division One football and the Premier League – to tell sponsors what is happening on and off the field in football. So, potential sponsors will be encouraged to invest in football.”

Many believe that football is the number one sport in the federation, as it is the most organized sport in the federation, transcending all relevant age groups, and doing so with tangible and consistent result. Therefore, in the context of sponsor involvement, Walwyn said, “Football can be used as a development tool. It is not only for physical exercise and activity, but it is also to help people develop themselves economically.” The consultant indicated that football has helped persons obtain educational degrees, access specialized training and obtain professional work.

Walwyn indicated that the SKNFA attained substantial achievements during the year, including being able to push their FIFA Ranking below 100 for the first time, and there have been significant and consistent successes with various national teams in various tournaments.
