SKNFA’s Ordinary Congress Reveals Four Year Strategic Plan.
Basseterre, St. Kitts- The SKNFA’s ordinary congress for 2014 involved lots of feedback from the clubs across St. Kitts- Nevis. The President’s Activity Report brought rise to lots of discussions and questions from the clubs and sparked lots of constructive conversations. During the discussion, clubs made it known that they were grateful to the President and his team for the first year of their new term.
Each club rose to give congratulatory remarks before going into more detailed statements of the positive impact the new administration has had on football in St. Kitts- Nevis while also raising concerns as well as providing suggestions that may help to improve the product that is football.
During the congress, the general secretary of the SKNFA, Mr. Stanley Jacobs honoured Mr. Stanley Franks with a medal commemorating CFU’s 35th anniversary. Mr. Franks, in 1989 Mr. Franks was appointed member of the Shell Cup Organising Committee and by 1990 was elected to the Management Committee of CFU. He served as a CFU Match Commissionary, Members of the CONCACAF Disciplinary Commission Member of the CONCACAF Fair Play Commission,Member of CONCACAF Legal Commission and Member of CONCACAF Administrative Panel from 1990 to 1995.
In 1992 he led St. Kitts and Nevis to the Membership of FIFA and CONCACAF.
In addition to the many discussions held across the board, Mr. Jacobs presented the strategic plan from 2014 through to 2017. The audience got a chance to see first hand what plans were in place as well as make comments. Each club will be issued a hard copy of the strategic plan which will also be used as a means of gaining interest from potential sponsors.
The SKNFA wishes to thank all the clubs that were in attendance as well as everyone else that has, in some way made an impact on football in St. Kitts. This of course means we wish to thank the entire nation of St. Kitts-Nevis, our neighbouring islands as well our international supports systems. As our first year under this administration comes to an end we look forward to making football bigger and better in those to come.
