St. Peters Blue Angels and Delphic Newtown United ladies to do battle for first ever female FA Cup title.
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts,15th February, 2013- The SKNFA’s Female FA Cup will come to an end on Sunday with St. Peters Blue Angels and Delphic Newtown United after last night’s results. In the first match of the evening, St.Peters Blue Angels defeated St. Thomas Trinity Strikers 4 goals to 3. At the end of regular time neither teams had managed to score which meant that the winner would have to be decided by penalty kicks. At the end of five kicks, the game was still tied, now at 2 goals each. The game then went down to “sudden death” where St. Peters Blue Angels eventually emerged victorious.
In the second game of the evening Delphic Newtown United continued on in their winning ways when they defeated Conaree Lady Spartans three goals to nil in regular time.
The finals of the SKNFA’s Female FA Cup is scheduled for the Verchilds Playing Field at 4:00 p.m.
