After the match Assistant Coach of the Village Al Richards, said the team did not play well, but
he prefers a scrappy win than a loss. “This was not our best game in the playoffs. We had a
scrappy game tonight—physically intensive but all in all we got the goal and we got the victory,”
Richards said. “We weren’t really organized, but based on quality of our players, we were able
at pull it through to the end,” he added. “We have a very important game on Wednesday. It’s a
win or a draw and we are into the finals.”

Samuel Phipps, Assistant Coach of Conaree in assessing his season, felt the fitness of the team
waned after the COVID lockdown. “Pre-COVID, we were winning all our games; in fact we won

11 on a row. After COVID (lockdown) we had our struggles where our fitness was not right and
we worked hard to get that fitness right. I think tonight the guys played well. They played their
heart out and I say thank you to them,” Phipps said.

The Super Six playoffs continue on Tuesday and Wednesday with the final matches for the
round robin. On Tuesday Flow 4G Cayon Rockets will do battle with Hobson Enterprises Garden
Hotspurs. Cayon with eight points is in pole position to make the finals. A win or a draw in that
match on Tuesday would seal their place, but if they lose, they will need to depend on St. Pauls
to defeat Village in their final round robin match on Wednesday at 8pm. St. Peters and Conaree
will play in a consolation match on Wednesday at 6pm, the first of a double header.
